I just got a great gift from my sister-in-law in Hawaii....a big box full of different flavors of Kona coffee. She even included a couple of Christmas Cookies and Cream which is my all-time favorite flavored coffee. Yummmm...
I am not sure of the brand as I got it at the grocery store. It is just a little mesh filter with a flip-up lid. You just fill it and put it in just like a regular K-cup. I like the coffee a LOT better when I use this as opposed to the pre-measured cups.
Before that I tried the single cup...
I have a bag of Guatemalan coffee that was a gift. Tried a couple of pots but it was just too gross to continue. If I made a cup it would qualify for the worst coffee in America, but I just can't bring myself to do it.
Now Kenyan coffee is another story.

If you want a fairly mild, very drinkable beverage try Kona coffee. My all-time favorite is vanilla macadamia nut. This is not heavily flavored so the vanilla or the nut does not overpower the coffee.
For your Mr. Coffee, I use the normal scoops that come with coffee makers. One of those...
