This past year we celebrated it in our cafe (New York) by giving out free size upgrades on drinks. Many customers here actually have heard of it... and expected something because all the national chains were doing deals nearby.
As far as syrups go, I've gone through Monin, Torani and DaVinci. Been using Sweet Bird (Sweetbird - Home) for about 6 months and I've liked their syrups the best so far.
As far as coffee goes... have you looked into an in shop roaster? Nothing beats freshly roasted coffee.
Oh I forgot to mention for the website portion, you should look into Shopify(dot)com. It integrates with ShopKeep(dot).com to handle inventory. I think you should really create two different merchant accounts though. The rates are very different for brick and mortar sales vs online sales...
