Hey Topher, This little 5 kilo has been a workhorse - it is a great roaster. It has its quirks but once you know them it can produce some wonderful coffee. We built our business over the last 10 years using this Ambex and hope it helps the next roaster do the same.

We are selling our 2005 Ambex YM-5. We have added digital flame control and cleaned it regularly. This 5-kilo roaster is in great shape. This little roaster is a workhorse - we have roasted on it since 2015 and we have just outgrown it. Comes with an extra belt. Local pick-up preferred.

Would you consider selling just the external chaff collector for the 5K?

Hey All, I am looking to buy an external cyclone chaff collector for my 2005 Ambex YM-5 (would like to find one used). I am shooting chaff up on my roof and having to clean out every roast. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! -S

I travel w/ an Aeropress, Porlex mini, and 12 oz. baked enamelware cup.

We are looking at 32" or 33" for our front bar and for our back bar 34". We wanted to have some space behind the fridge and we will have sliding doors on each side of it so we need a little space in front. It seems really deep to us. We do like the counter space but it makes reaching shelving...

Chast - our sample roaster has a 3" exhaust we are just going to run it over into the cooling tray of our roaster - kick on the fan when we need it. We thought of running it into the same exhaust with a damper but didn't want to have any issues with smoke backing into the sample roaster from the...

Chast-Thanks! I will be running a Y type fitting into a 7' or larger duct then 20 ft to the cap. Now, venting the sample roaster that is another issue..

We are not purchasing an exhaust that is larger in diameter then recommended. It just works out it gives us room to grow. We are looking at spending around $4000. -from the quotes I have got. This is everything from the roaster to the cap. Thanks!

Hello Musicphan, I have used the QF Nordfab on roasters in the past and it is really easy to breakdown and clean. The price on the Nordfab is on the lower side of the quotes I have gotten but it is not double wall.

The quotes I am getting are a little higher but I am running up to 20ft and it is also a two-three weeks out special order. It may end up being very $$. Ambex recommends an 8" exhaust. Which is large for that 5 kilo but if we ever go up to a larger roaster we would not have buy a new stack...
