Home Grinder Suggestion for Espresso, French Press, and Vacuum Pots

Talking to himself? Perhaps he was councling with his own will? Talking out-loud, so people do this all the time, not a sign of anything and that is "sign", not "sing". Got a migrane this morning, so stay clear of me, or I'll pull out both barrels. However, I am also looking for a good all...

Coffee machine conundrum: Gaggia XTWO or Accademia

Gaggia... I haven't seen your machine demo, so I haven't a clue about it. I can just say I think I made a good choice with the Gaggia. I had looked at quite a few others, Jura, Saeco, etc. I haven't looked for Coffees of the world, but I think it would. Seems to me I heard something about that...

Coffee machine conundrum: Gaggia XTWO or Accademia

Finally... Well today, finally after my new Gaggia Accademia has been sitting on my counter begging for use, I got it up and running! The main reason I waited more then a week to use it is because it's far from a Hick's view of a ONE TOUCH! Yes, according to standard term, it's in the One Touch...

Coffee machine conundrum: Gaggia XTWO or Accademia

Gaggia mania.. I've got that machine too. It's still sitting on the counter waiting for use. It's very shiny and seems to be very well built, more like a safe, 46 pounds. It's certainly an awesome looking machine, and the demo was cool too on Youtube. I've been looking at a summer machine that...

Need Advice, help and suggestions on a serious coffeemaker for life

Not really a one touch It's not really a one touch at all, but many touches. In fact it loaded with touches. So many, that it will take quite a while reading the manual before I even get it up and running, and the startup operations in reailty requires a number of touches. However, my main...

Need Advice, help and suggestions on a serious coffeemaker for life

Bunn.. Maybe if it was just coffee, but I like Lattes and Caps, even hot coca sometimes, mochas, etc. But I've got my Chemex for just great coffee and nothing beats that with a good grinder and beans. For down and dirty thrills, the Jura might fill the bill, along with giving me a decent cup of...

Need Advice, help and suggestions on a serious coffeemaker for life

Going to the Mountain... Thanks for the Photo! Yes, of course I am feeling like I am being suckered in. Everyone wants or needs to be a sucker at least once, hey? However, I guess one way to put it, and a good example is Gail from Seattle Coffee Gear. She likes to walk into her shop in the...

Need Advice, help and suggestions on a serious coffeemaker for life

Not much time to finesse morning coffee... Finessing too much up front for starters is probably a bad idea on forums in which someone is not familiar with. You could spend a lot of time typing out stuff and not get much feedback. Yes, since Americans are stuffing a Big Mac in their mouths on...

I think that's the Dutch one I read about which heats to high temps. However it seems to use a copper element. Many use aluminum, but the Jura uses a stainless steel heating element, so I have read. I had a copper water distiller, but the test strips kept coming back positive for copper, too...

C9 and F9 Jura Capressa I've been reading and sifting. I'm getting the impression that the Jura is the best, and it seems to be a toss up between the C9 or the F9. These have solid reviews with durability and superior performance. However I have not heard of the Technivorm Moccamaster KBT741...

Need Advice, help and suggestions on a serious coffeemaker for life

Yeah, yeah I've got a French Press and Chemex. I mostly only use the Chemex with beans from Mocha's Joes. I found his Columbian beans to be pretty good. I rarely use the French Press. I want a superauto cause I want to be spoiled for a while, plus lazy in the morning too. The Chemex ritual is...

Need Advice, help and suggestions on a serious coffeemaker for life

Take your pick? Just throw money at it randomly? I came here so I could avoid picking at random. While I didn't expect to pick a machine soley based on advice from here, I thought maybe I could get some good feedback here. I read some reviews at random, and it seems the pricey machines had more...

Need Advice, help and suggestions on a serious coffeemaker for life

Hi Guys and Gals, I got the money, and this might be the only time in my life I will spend this much on a very serious coffee maker. I'm willing to possibly spend between 1 to 2k on a serious coffee maker, probably Italian. I am mostly looking for a great cup of morning coffee. I understand...
