Also, don't try to log in using someone else's username. I got an email dated 8/14 advising someone tried logging in using *my* username 5 times. So, "Benoit Grange", IP 195.154.56.44 (should I post your address in Paris, too? Because I have it.), knock it off.

What coffee are you drinking right now?

I just had a cup of swill that's *supposed* to be Colombian, spewed out of a Keurig (I'm at work, and have little choice).

    Amatuer Coffee Writing

Didn't want to violate TOS, so I thought this would be the best place to post this...I've taken up writing about the old-school methods of brewing, such as dripolators, napoletanas, and the like. More of a hobby, something to occupy my free time, and have an excuse to enjoy another cup ;) . I...

Where can you find the best coffee in the world?

6 Ways to Keep your Coffee Beans Looking and Tasting Fresh

I buy only what I consume in a week, about a half-pound whole bean, and keep them in a cheap glass container (the kind with the spring clip closure thingie and rubber gasket) up in a cabinet.

favorite way to drink your coffee?

Every morning, I grind just over two scoops whole bean in a Zassenhaus hand mill. 11 ounces of water in a Braun KF-12 4-cup auto-drip, brewed through a gold-mesh filter (at 200 degrees even), and consumed (with a spoon of sugar and French vanilla creamer) out of a 10-ounce cobalt glass mug. I...

    Grinding beans

I grind (dark roast) beans that I buy in the bulk section of my local grocery store/farmer's market, using an old Zassnehaus mill. I grind according to what method I use: fine for my Vesubio, not quite as fine for my Braun, a little coarser for my dripolators, and coarser still for my press pot...

    Keurig?

I was thinking of getting a Keurig once...until I saw the number of used ones on Ebay. After reading too many bad reviews on them, I decided to stick with my Braun KF-12 as my "daily driver" and a Corning 4-cup dripolator (among 20-something other devices) when I'm in the mood to play.

Can anyone recommend a stove top percolated

I bought a 3-cup Rapid Brew for camping (I normally go solo), and found it adequate. Percolators *must* be watched, and not allowed to boil...and mine being about the same size as the burner on my Coleman stove, I have to set it to one side (the grate really isn't suitable for this small of...

    Hi all

Thanks, y'all...I keep 'em all on a shelf in my room, and *do* use them. My favorites are the dripolators and napoletanas :)

    Coffee in your Area

I'm about a 2-minute drive from a Sprout's, where I get whole-bean. I avoid "prepared" coffee as much as possible. There is a place I go to on Sundays, sometimes, when Idowntown shooting the Capitol or something. The Hideout, on Congress. Typical cool little coffeehouse. Good eats, too.
