    portable pot?

Yes, I tried it. Nice. Fast. Just right to stick in a suitcase. Up to now I've used a Norelco Briskbrew, a mini one cup outfit, that has served me well. But one tiny cup at a time early in the morning is...well, just too much work! I really like this little Black & Decker. Think I'll hang...

    portable pot?

Rose: Thanks for the welcome and the suggestion. It looks like a possibility, except I'd like one that makes more than one cup. Got to have a minimum of 3 to get both eyes open! Actually, I went out today and found this one at Target http://www.target.com/Black-Decker-Prog ... B000UWC4SY...

    portable pot?

I travel a lot and I'm looking for a coffee maker that's rugged and small, that I can stick into a suitcase. Maybe one that makes six cups or so. Looking at this one at Wal Mart http://www.hamiltonbeach.com/press-room ... tation.php However, reviews say it leaks, the coffee doesn't taste...

grinds Ok, thanks. I'll try that. I guess regular store coffee doesn't come in different grinds as a rule, does it? Tom in Texas

    exploding coffeemaker

That makes sense. It's just Folgers Classic Roast. It is fairly finely ground, but doesn't seem unusually so. Think I'll go get a different brand and try it out. Do they have "coarse grind" coffee, like pepper? I'm fairly ignorant on matters such as these. Tom in Texas

    exploding coffeemaker

I have a Bunn ThermaFresh. Lately it's been sending lots of coffee grounds into the decanter. Inside the permanent filter it looks like there was an explosion while it was brewing. No holes or flaws in the filter. Can anybody tell me why it started doing that? Thanks... Tom in Texas

    suitcase coffee maker?

Water? I'm always confused on the flight between Lubbock and Amarillo. You say, "If we should go down over water, the seat cushion is a flotation device." My question is, "WHAT WATER??" The only water between Lubbock and Amarillo is the sewer farm, and if we go down over that, I want to be dead...

    suitcase coffee maker?

Wow, thanks, Javayankee. That may be just what I want. I'll research it. So, you're a flight attendant. I know what you're going through, too. I'm an evangelist. I stand up there telling people life-saving information, and they don't pay any attention to me!

    suitcase coffee maker?

heat? I don't know anything about these things. The Aeropress doesn't heat the water, right? I'm looking for something that heats, too. My regular coffee maker is the Bunn with the stainless steel decanter. That's great. I wish I had something like it, only smaller. tom

    suitcase coffee maker?

I'm taking on a job where I travel constantly. I'm looking for a rugged coffee maker that I can stick into a suitcase, and will survive airport baggage handlers. Any ideas? Thanks... Tom in Texas
