My blend is one pound of Colombian Supremo from the Coffeeam website, one pound of 100% KONA PEABERRY COFFEE - 93PTS from the bigislandcoffeeroasters website, and a cup of roasted chicory from the pennherb website. By far superior to anything I ever had in a coffeehouse.
I use a glass jar with rubber seal. I blend two kinds of ground coffee with some roasted chicory in a plastic bag, then dump it into the jar (big enough to hold two pounds+ of coffee).
I used to use one of those oversized Mason canning jars, but switched to Hovico 25 oz Glass Jar With Airtight...
I try to keep it to one cup a day when I get up. Not always successful. The blend I have come up with is awful tempting. If I fail, I'll usually have the second cup around 3pm....the latest without it being able to keep me up past bedtime.
I'm over sixty, moved from the Bay Area about three years ago, and like it here waaaay better, but only because I have an air conditioner...without which I'd be dead of heatstroke by now. I occasionally drink Chinese White Tea, but only for the health benefit. The taste is not as awful as all...
