This 2019 Diedrich IR 1 (1K) roaster was used once to season the roaster, then original owner sold to me due to health reasons. I purchased this in October of 2023 with the potential of using as an at home roaster after retiring from my small roasting business. I have since decided I will not be roasting at home either, so this brand new IR 1 needs to find a new home. It currently has propane jets installed, however I ordered a natural gas conversion kit when I purchased the roaster. I have not installed those yet. As I mentioned, I did not put this into service at all. I also have all of the original ductwork that was installed on this roaster in the original building that was going to be the owner's shop. It is all manufactured by Jeremia Exhaust Systems. This is a perfect roaster for a roaster looking to either roast at home, or to put into a small cafe as a shop roaster. It is rated to 1kg per roast, 2.2 lbs, and in my experience with 2 other Dierich roasters can usually handle the rated capacity for a roast of approximately 13-16 minutes, depending on your preferred roast profiles.
This roaster is ready to connect to Artisan or Cropster for roast profiling. I have a few hundred roast profiles, with many preferred profiles that I am willing to share with whoever purchases. These profiles were created on an IR 5, but would be useable on this roaster as well. I used Artisan Plus for all of my profiling. It is not automatic, the adjustments are made manually, but the Artisan system creates the profile that you can use over again, in order to provide consistency to your roasting.
This comes with all of the ductwork and several fittings, a bag of tools to use for maintenance (new tools), the natural gas kit, an external cyclone, chimney brush. I can include the steel table it was installed with, however it is actually a bit small for the roaster, and would add significantly to the weight of the entire package for freight costs.
I have all of the orginal crating and know how to crate this for shipping.
I am willing to consider appropriate offers, and I can include several lbs of green coffee if you want some to get started with.
