What is the average cost of a cup of joe anyway>>>>
I was reading the opinions on S.B. and the comments about it being $3.00-$ 4.00..
We have alot of walk-in shops in the area and only 3 drive-thrus but most of them charge from 3-4 $....
What's everybody else charge????

1.espresso based
2.brewed coffee
3.smoothies

????????????????????

I think they are talking average transaction...$4.00 per person...I actually had a cup of S.B. the other day and it was only 1.60(first cup in a long time) Before I was at the casino my average was around $4.00 per trans.....and that was in a mall.

I don't know if we are low but our average prices are as follows:

Drip: 1.75-2.00

Espresso: 2.50-3.50

Smoothee: 3.50-4.25

These are our drive thru prices. But as Topher says he was located in a mall. Overhead is a bit more in a mall location than what it would be in a drive thru.

Oops my bad... :D I thought the original question was what is the average cost for a cup of joe  When you throw in a muffin that changes everything...Let's see add another $4 to the transaction...We have some damn good muffins 8) Just kidding...Add about another $1.25 (muffin) to the drink and that would be our average...

The reason I was looking at bubble tea is ...
(if I ever get done with my business plan)
my coffe drive thru is in a big school dist.

4 schools in 2 miles
4 more within a 6-8 mile radius (that all have to come by my location)

and I was looking for something for the kids...
I've already got Island Oasis for fruit smooties lined up...
just looking at other options...

Yep...I agree it is very popular with the Asian community. Not to mention that the balls are well...yuck  But in any case luckykellig you might want to try steammers for the kids. That's basically hot flavored milk. :)

Question #4 How do you tell if you've chose a good roaster,I've talked to them got free samples, bought coffee, she can get me discounts on alot of equipment,etc... but how do you tell if their better than the next one?
I actually have one here in my town but they mainly sell to individuals.

You just have to go with your gut. A lot of roasters can roast good coffee, a lot of roasters can get you equipment at a good price. The bottom line is who you feel good about. If that roaster can fulfill all of your needs then pick that roaster. If that roaster does not live up to what they say they can do, then select another roaster. Remember you are the customer to that roaster and you are always free to make your selection. If the roaster values your business they will work with you and grow with you as long as it is within reason to continue doing business. Just my 2 cents 8)
