After my Breville SmartGrinder bit the dust I decided to go with Baratza. The Breville was just okay and I'd heard a lot of great things about the Baratza, so it seemed like an easy decision. Now, I wish I'd gotten another Breville. Not only was it much more user friendly but the grind was better. I'm really disappointed in the Baratza.

We frequently use coarser settings for press and cold brew, settings 30-34. I get everything from fines to chunks the size of lentils. It's ridiculous.

I've cleaned it and triple checked that it's reassembled correctly. If anybody has any ideas on how to fix this then I'd like to hear them. Thanks.

I can agree with Peter. Their customer service is superb and all their grinders come with a 1 year warranty. I use my virtuoso for chemex, cold brew and V60 and I really can't complain. Definitely worth reaching out to them.
