Small amounts of caffeine and HRT may reduce risk

Women who consume small amounts of caffeine, or none at all, and take hormone replacement therapy (HRT) may reduce their risk of developing Parkinson's disease according to US research.

However, among women who consume the equivalent of more than five cups of coffee, HRT may increase their risk of the neurological disorder, said the researchers from Boston's Harvard School of Public Health.

Woman Drinking Coffee

Does this linkage stop you from drinking coffee or change any of your drinking habbits as a woman? Parkinson's Disease + Coffee Links (Caffeine) seems to be possible. Decaf anyone?

No it makes me think twice about hormone replacement! :lol:

seriously I have more major health issues in my family that will probably kill me first before I get to the parkinson's stage.

Again, we're all healthy in our family. My aunt, mother, grandmother, sisters and cousins are all strong coffee drinkers. No problem with them. There's a lot of publications out there - - you just need a reputable journal.
