Coffee, Caffe in Italy

For all you Roman-ites, or lovers of Italy- what in your oppinion on what is the best cafe/s in Italy, and of course the best local coffees (NOT Illy, Lazzaza etc but Locally consumed favs)? Would appreciate comments as will be visiting and would like to emerge myself neck deep in espresso while there :grin:

they are all great

I was just in Italy. I can't say that I had a favorite experience. They were all pretty fantastic. I enjoyed just walking the cities and exploring the espresso bars when I came upon them. I do wish that I tried more pastries, but I always ate to much at lunch and dinner. Have fun!

Thanks, I am looking forward to it. I have quite a few roasting contacts over there, so I am pretty certain the coffee side of things will be well catered for. Will for sure make sure I soak up as much of the experience as I can.
