coffee maker/carafe cleaning

I seem to have read on some forum that Oxiclean was a better way to clean any coffee makers, any opines welcome by this newbie.

It may work OK, but I personally like to stick with products that are designed for coffee related cleaning. For example, I know people that use all sorts of cleaners such as dishwasher detergent for cleaning espresso machine accessories and even backflushing with it. Not me! I bought a concentrated liquid called Clearly Coffee ( I think it's made by Urnex) and use it for all cleaning. I simply dilute 1tsp to 1 qt. of water and soak all items such as baskets, portafilters, screens, carafes, etc. It works great and rinses away quickly with no left behind taste. Later!

You should stick with what you are supposed to use, Urnex products, Beyond products, or squeak n clean products. Checkout out our website or give us a call for info.
