Does it matter where the coffee is spoted.

We are opening a new roasting facilty in Texas. We have a roastery in California and have been buying all of our coffees out of Oakland, CA. I am looking at buying coffee for our Texas shop out of New Orleans.

But I was told by my coffee broker not to buy from New Oleans due to the weather and humity. He said all coffees coming out of New Oleans is just Instunial coffee and not Specality coffee. He think I am better to pay the extra freight from Oakland.

So does it matter where the coffee is spotted.
