Hi all,
I purchased the Astoria Agenta 2 group espresso machine second hand for a new business venture and I am just trying to get things working.
It comes with an external water pump that attaches to the machine both electrically and via branded cables for the water.
This external water pump is part of the machine when it is supplied and has an adjustment on the end which is for the pressure.

Anyway the question I have is that the external water pump gets fairly hot,
the hoses to and from this are also hot,
I am wondering if this is normal or if something is wrong ?
When I look at the external pump itself, the motor is not hot, it is just around the water area, pump, hoses etc...

I've ran a few commercial machines with rotary pumps (which is what you have) and have never noticed any issues with the pump/lines to/from it getting even warm. Are you sure it's plumbed into a cold feed? Also, are you sure that you're sending water to the boiler, rather than pulling it out of the boiler as in the pump is plumbed or wired backwards?

That was my thought... you have the pump reversed... take it off the espresso machine and test
