Hi everyone,
Just glad to be part of this forum and privy to your collective wisdom. Starting a double drive-thru only shop in Michigan and rapidly coming to the conclusion that it's a bottomless pit of money sucking misery...well, maybe that's a little harsh. Figure I'll start with a two-group La Marzocco and add another machine when business is brisk enough to require it. My question is, how many beverages can a mediocre barista produce per hour with this machine? And, I guess, is it sensible to begin this way? At this stage I cannot provide any concrete numbers regarding sales. Thanks in advance for your input and have a wonderful day!

Most 2 groups are rated around 200 - 240 espresso's and 150 lattes. But in all actuality the average barista can produce 120+ espresso's and maybe 75 - 100 16 ounce lattes. Your barista would be in constant motion the entire time.

Making a ton of espresso is easy. Being able to heat and froth gallons of milk will depend on the machine.
