Hey guys - Newbie here....

I own a 23 room Inn and want to upgrade our coffee experience. Currently we use Bunn automatic drip equipment which is supplied free by our coffee supplier.

The price is not bad, but the coffee is not good (comes ground in the little silver pouches) and it gets burned on the burners.

I would like to buy some good roasted beans and get a grinder and a new coffee machine. Because we only have 23 rooms, sometimes the coffee has to sit for a while.

How about an airpot brewer like this one:

Is it better than sitting on a burner for an hour?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

It is surely better but the coffee should be finished within an hour. Never longer than that. If you can have good coffee beans and grind it freshly, you can have good coffee. But, if you keep it in it for a long time, more than an hour, it can get bad.

In fact, I would suggest you to get a smaller one, one bottle only. It can be enough for you.

Certainly an airpot is a better choice than leaving it on a burner for hours.

Consult me for your coffee needs. Our coffee is roasted in Buffalo, MN. It would be way better to offer our house blend that you grind fresh than anything out of a silver packet. The website is still a "work in progress", so more is available offline than what you see.
