Newbie in need of advice on opening a shop!! Help pls!!!

My partner and I want to start our own biz and we both love coffee and have entertained the idea of starting a shop in the next year. I have a great job right now with all the bennies, perks and such but yet I am unhappy still b/c I have always had a dream to be my own boss. If anyone can relate and offer some good advice to getting started that would be soooo great!! (We drink it but have no clue on how to make it, or how its grown, how to get it etc....) HELP! we are newbies!
