Nivona NICR 660 Brew Unit won’t lock back in

After cleaning, my brew unit lever won’t lock into place. I’ve got the gear to the right place on the machine and the brew unit “fits” into place on the gear but the lever does not want to come down into the lock position.

Can anyone help? I feel like I’ve tried everything.

If there is all ok, you have to find out how to get the
drive in the right position - it seems it is not in the
basic position.
If you search the other board, it could be you find
how to do it - I don´t know how yet.
