Senseo leaks

Hi,

I just got a Senseo and it makes good coffee when it works. But often the water seems to go around, rather than through, the pod.

When this happens, water comes out from above the pod; not through the spout.

Am I doing something wrong or do I have a defective machine?

Thanks,

JV

I think all senseos are defective machines (for making decent coffee), and it's quite fortunate if it has gone wrong, because you now have a good excuse to buy a more expensive and hopefully superior replacement, where you grind up FRESH coffee and place it in a portafilter....mmmm :)

I am sorry for your loss 8)

Hi Davic,

I know the Senseo isn't a gourmet machine. Nor am I a gourmet taster. But it makes a damn nice cup when it works.

I also have a Gaggia I've used for years but the Senseo is quicker and much more convenient. Cleanup with the Senseo is a snap.

So, with respect, I wasn't asking for a critique but some practical advice.

Thanks,

JV
