Anyone here going all out to smarten their home with Google Home or something similar? I got a free Google Home before Christmas, and today, my first "accessories" finally showed up - a set of four power outlets. I set them up, firstly with my bedroom air purifier (because I keep forgetting to turn it on a couple of hours before bed)... sadly, my air purifier doesn't hold its settings as such, so the wifi-outlet will turn it on, but I can't change the power setting, so it doesn't do anything except beep. Then I set up three lamps that I have in the bedroom. This is kind of handy, but might be more trouble than its worth.

So, is connecting your home a big deal, or a big hassle?

Oh yes, and if you do use something similar, do you have your coffee machine connected to a smart outlet, so you can start warming it up from wherever?

Set up is a bit of a pain but once completed it's amazing. I have google play as well as portal, and probably 6 ehco(dots,show and echo). They are connected to cameras, lights, tv and more. Lol...I just got the new Alexa for the car. I did see a coffee maker that is Alexa compatible but it was garbage. Hopefully Technavorm will come out with one.

If Google wants to sell my life, good luck to them. I can't imagine anyone would want to buy my "reality show". I don't even find any interest in celebrity reality shows. I spend a lot of evenings sitting next to my dog, surfing the internet or watching television. I never ask my wife to repeat, out loud, our bank account information, or the combination number to our front door. If Google are selling the stream, I'm not sure even the most fetishist porn site would be buying up "man on a toilet".

That said, first evening with the Google home controlling some lights, and it really is pretty smart, responding to a variety of different instructions to tell it to turn lights on and off. I was quite impressed on how flexible and responsive it is.

And, if anyone really is super interested in the inner workings of my life. My beside lamp is called "Rich lamp". A small, but mindblowing window to my life.

understand you, I also used this app, but I always have problems finding electrical equipment, I can't find a good vacuum cleaner and refrigerator anywhere. It is good that the problem with the air conditioner was solved, my friend helped me find a good air conditioner. If it wasn't for him, I'd probably melt in the heat. For me, the heat is a horror, I can not stand the heat, I prefer the coolness and thanks to my friend, I do not suffer. Hi, I wish to install a smart home system in my house for about 3 years, but unfortunately, I don't have time for this, or I don't have money, every time something new if to be shorter. Anyway, happily, I started to redesign my house because it needs a small refresh in my opinion because it wasn't repaired since 2001.
