Space build out

I am opening a coffee shop within the next few months and im a wondering about the space build out costs. Im planning to do it myself. My only concern is building codes and passing inspection...I know there are certain things like the counter must be a certain height, sinks must be three compartment...things like that. Does anyone know anything else that may help me?? or a resource to do more research..

You'd have to check with your local municipality, and also research ADA standards. It might be worth the investment to hire an architect or planner, someone who is familiar with code. They automatically did things that I admittedly never even thought of, and I worked a year on this before taking it to anyone. Good luck.
