tamper base size

hi guys i want to buy a new tamper for astoria plus for you do anybody knows the base size exactly???

It should be 12 inches but the important thing is it should be shorter than the chair.

Welcome to the Coffee Forums.

I did a quick search and from what I found, it looks like the Astoria's tamper is 58 mm

I found a list on this website as well as other sites on-line and the 58 mm seems to be the magic number.

I agree with you PINK ROSE that I also found a good tamper is bases on 48 to 58 mm.

Why not just measure it?? 25.4 mm per inch...

I was tempted to ask why he didn't just measure the tamper base too. I'm guessing that he no longer had the old one??
