who makes what machine

okay, so too many of these machines look exactly alike--they have to be from the same manufacturer.

saeco=gaggia=spidem?
capresso=krups=solis?

what else am i missing in the superautomatics?

is the saeco italia such a rotten machine that it's really been discontinued due to problems or that incanto is coming out?

incanto=digital italia=italia, all with just a few bells and whistles and no real changes to guts of machine?

You are right, there are quite a number of manufacturers out there who build machines on behalf of other brands. I can add my own machine supplier- CMA. They build Astoria, Wega as well as their own lines (San Marino). I guess espresso machines are just like anything else in the world..it makes sense to consolidate design and facilities in order to produce good machines and to survive in a tough economic environment.
