FYI, in California, house/land property tax is 0.95% of the price/cost.
    In NY, it is 0.75%.

thanks and have a good day. :+)
Yes, I meant property tax. Thanks for the information.

Did you know that in Greece and Turkey, it is the custom that the eldest is served coffee first.

FYI, it is kind of same thing in Korea, Japan..etc most of Asian countries. We serve foods and drinks to elders first out of respect.
Even when I was a kid, around dinner table, I could not eat any foods until my grand parents started eating first.

Did you know that there is a difference between the strength and body of the coffee?
Strength of the coffee refers to how much coffee is in the brew. (coffee ground weight vs water weight)
Body is a measure of the richness (or heaviness) of the coffee taste. (Sumatra coffee tastes heavier than Kenya high altitude coffee)

Did you know that in the coffee world, "excelso" or "supremo" do not indicate the quality of the beans, but rather, the size of the beans?
by the way, these two words are from Colombia coffee industry.

what about in Guatemala? we use...
    Nano Lot
    Micro Lot
    Specialty coffee
    Strictly Hard Bean
    Hard Bean
    Semi Hard Bean
    Extra Prime
    Prime

Unlike Colombia, above terms means quality of the beans.

Did you know that coffee was brought into Costa Rica from Cuba by a Spanish traveler, Mr. Navarro, in 1779?

Cuba... that is an interesting country where I would love to visit.
actually, I am planning a visit next year. Take Copa airline to Panama and then to Cuba. Just hope that getting visa wouldn't be so much trouble....

Did you know that Nicaragua Maragogype coffee bean is the biggest coffee bean in the world?

In Guatemala, we also produce Maragogype (and I also sell them to my Australian customer), and the size is as big as the Nicaraguan beans.
It seems like Trader Joe's sell this bean, but I have not seen them in Trader Joe's nearby my house.

You'd think it would be a little on the cold side down there which would he a good reason to drink a lot of coffee but according to this site the weather looks nice year round.

I guess they're just into coffee.
