Just started drinking real coffee and now I'm addicted. I bought tim hortons beans and they were great but I am in search of a good reasonable online store. I really need advise if coffee bean direct on Amazon is a good place to buy? The best beans so far were hawaii gold kona beans but there quite expensive so I found coffee bean direct and Fresh roasted llc. Anyone have advise if either of these are good?

Don't know if they're any good, but there's a wide variety (including flavored) at naturesflavors.com

They have 3 categories of flavored beans: regular, organic and organic decaf; as well as 3 organic non flavored categories: roasted, roasted decaf and green.

They sell in 2 different amounts: 12 oz. and 5 lbs.

Since you're asking on this forum, my thinking would be to buy from a member here who sells online, not only because I'm one of them, but it's just good sense to build up this community if this is where you want to hang out.

Or, of course, as eldub points out, source some fresh beans locally. Properly roasted, local, fresh... in that order, with price being the last priority; skimping on cost doesn't make sense to me - the savings won't translate into cup quality.

Another possibility is roasting your own, which will increase the freshness. I use a hot air popcorn machine. The roast is somewhat uneven, but to me that's an added benefit, because I get the darker highlights and the lighter highlights in a single roasting cycle.

The other thing to keep in mind is that the popcorn maker blows chaff (coffee skins) all over, so find a good solution for that.
