I agree. I understand the original poster had a great experience with one bag but I don't think such an experience would make me say all other coffee is stale tasting. In the last few months, I've learned a lot about coffee and some simple changes in brewing technique can either ruin a cup of coffee or make it much better. If he has local roasters with coffee shops, he should drop by and let them brew him a cup of coffee and discuss the taste with the barista if it doesn't satisfy him. That might help give him a better standard to judge by.

There are many great coffee house her in SE michigan. Also, they offer many different way to brew individual coffee to each customers. I have mentioned few coffee house in my first post..... He should try those. They are all great coffee roasters
