Wanted to see if I can get some advice for someone new to roasting. My daughter purchased a new Diedrich 2.5, non automated roaster. We are having a time trying to figure out the whole process. We did find a “how to roast@ on this machine from diedrich on YouTube. Unfortunately, after 1st crack, as soon as she hit 400 degrees the coffee was burnt. We started with the gas on 50 percent (5) on the dial. Should be be starting lower, like 25%? Just wondering if anyone has this roaster and might be able to give us some insight on where to start, with gas settings, airflows, etc.
