It's true to some extent. You'll definately be getting the Starbucks people. However, if you want the "real coffee" drinking costomers. It'd might be a better idea to stick to the fundamentals.

Focus your effort on finding the perfect location. Bathing suits or not, the perfect drive-through location will always be busy. You could experiment with "Bikini Friday's" (or whatever the slowest day of your work week turn out to be), to see if there is a significant difference in traffic, and if you are willing and capable of handling the bad that comes with the good (press, community sentiment, etc).

In this manner you are not committed to either direction, yet. With the experience, you may choose to go one or the other direction.
