    Best K-Cups

I dont normally use k cups but due to it's convenience I have started using them at work. Can anyone recommend the best brand of k cups with respect to coffee quality. I've read that green mountain is pretty good....any others? I was thinking of trying Peets. Thanks in advance.

    Coffee Bean Containers

Sage, I think you can since the whole point of beans going bad is b/c of air exposure. That'd probably be the best way to preserve the beans actually!

    Coffee Bean Containers

Reason I ask is b/c I get my coffee grounded up at the coffee shop. Really can't afford a coffee grinder right now, being a grad student doesn't pay much, hahaha. So yeah, I just wanted to know if it was pointless to store grinded coffee in air tight containers.

    Coffee Bean Containers

Is it ok to keep grinded coffee in air tight containers or is that pointless? Is it simply better to keep coffee beans in air tight containers?

Manual vs Electric Coffee Bean Grinders

Thanks for the reply. I knew that Burr grinders were better than the blades but I've heard that electrical grinders can heat the beans causing them to be "overroasted," thus the preference for a manual hand cranker, don't know if that's true or not though. Can you or anyone else recommend some...

Manual vs Electric Coffee Bean Grinders

Which is better or is there no difference at all b/t a Coffee Bean Hand Cranker vs an electrical one?

    French Press Size

I agree. If you only drink 2 cups throughout the day then I highly recommend an Aeropress. Don't let the look fool you, this contraption can brew up a mean cup of joe, hahahaha. Check out my post about the Aeropress.... http://www.coffeeforums.com/viewtopic.php?t=7834

    Aerobie Aeropress

Glad you liked it. As far as the temp of the water, I have trouble finding that too since I don't have a thermometer, but after experimentation, I simply heat up my water right before it starts to boil, then I wait about a minute or so and pour it in the coffee grinds.

    Aerobie Aeropress

Jlyon10, Can't wait for you to get it, hope it turns out well just as it did for me. I'm actually enjoying a cup of brew from my aeropress as I write this post, hahaha. Definitely let us know what you think!

    Aerobie Aeropress

PinkRose, I just went to CharBucks and got their Pikes Peak blend and ground the beans to an espresso grind (Not a big fan of starbucks, not that they're terrible, but just not a fan; but I was excited to use my AeroPress and so I quickly went there to get some ground up beans to try it out)...
