Worst coffee I had was when I was with an insurance company, and every day, it was Folger's that had sat on the hot plate for 5 hours. Tasted like new asphalt
Based out of San Francisco, I typically like medium roasts with a splash of milk - Ritual Roasters has had some great Costa Rican and El Salvadorean roasts. Had Sightglass the other day - wonderful location, great coffee, but not sure I'd ever be able to make it taste like that at home...
GREAT information! But I had some trouble reading because the font color and the black background - perhaps if you could play with the design (lighter colored background, larger and more contrasting font color?), it would be much easier to read.
I went for the first time this past weekend, and I thought it was quite impressive. Beautiful, beautiful store and the coffee was quite strong and bold, but still absolutely smooth on the finish.
Anyone else have thoughts? How do you think it compares to the SF mainstays like Four Barrel, Blue...
I'm going to get made fun of for this! For me, espresso has always been more functional than enjoyed - an after-dinner digestive, a way to pull long nights in college and at work, a pick-me-up when I'm feeling sluggish.
I have put milk and sugar in occasionally, but I feel like that's heresy...
I've always struggled with this one - I even went through a phase of drinking Coke Zero and Diet Coke to moderate my caffeine intake relative to coffee. Always keep coming back to coffee though.
