    Manual lever espesso machine

Lever machine If you are looking at the Pavoni home machines (Europiccolo), here is what I have found in the 10 years I have owned one. The boiler temp/pressure switch is set too low (you can adjust it by removing the baseplate, and using a screwdriver to adjust the pressure switch). Get it so...

    Any Pavoni users here??

best of Italy Quink, service was real good, I got my Pavoni and Gaggia MDF grinder from them, both delivered within a week. Fairfax, much the same but they do not have on-line ordering. But as far as I can make out they sell everything for the Pavoni and its real cheap and easy to repair. MTB

    Any Pavoni users here??

pavoni prof PL Quink, I've had my pavoni for about 4 years now, I probably over-use it a bit (according to my wife). Over the 4 years I have had to replace two sets of seals and one group head insert. The seals I replaced just as a bit of preventative maintenance (a full set of seals are about...

    My question on frothing techniques

dsal, I have a pavoni steam machine and it took a while to get it right. I found that the fresher the milk, the better the froth, and using full rather than semi-skimmed works better for me. The pressure for small amounts of milk is actually too great, so I use either too much milk on full...

    electric stove top pot????

I will be travelling to the US in a few weeks, staying in a hotel. What I would like is to be able to make a decent espresso in my room each morning. When I usually go on vacation, I use a stove top pot which is great. There will be no stove, so I am after something electric that will do the...

Cheap beans? Alun, you get what you pay for. Bargains are not always cheap....I'd sooner have less of a good coffee than more of a "cheap" one any day (same with my beer  ) Great if you want a coffee in a polystyrene cup, but I'll stick with trusted brands. Oh, I forgot.....I do buy...

what is the difference between coffee, espresso, latte, etc?

All juiced up! NW Java, are you saying that filter/drip fed has more caffeine than espresso? That surprises me, and suggests I should get my filter machine out and dust it down! Mick

lever machine? Have you thought of lever machines? I have had a Pavoni for a few years now, its a simple design with hardly anything to go wrong....just the seals (the heating element/thermostat haven't gone yet!). a full set of seals? about £12 ($20), and its as good as new! And IMHO....the...
