Hello All!

I recently when out on a limb and drove 2 hours just on the chance I might buy a new project off Craigslist. Of course I couldn't pass on a chance to do a complete rebuild on the cheap! This workhorse is totally neglected and needs a complete nuts and bolts tear-down and rebuild.
Just wanted to see what your thoughts are.
I will post more pictures as the project progresses.

seems like a good deal, until you tear into it and find any faults. i did the same on a Brasilia machine (2007 model). guy selling it said he didn't have 220 to try it, but swore that it worked. well, needless to say, it need a complete descaling and some minor repairs (few bucks). otherwise, totally happy with it. good luck with it. they are all pretty much the same internally.
btw: the portafilters alone are worth that much!

Being frustrated with my other project this morning I decided to tear into this one knowing that it would be more satisfying!

Crap! Serious corrosion behind the main power switch! Oh well, it's an easy fix

that should buff out. seriously, they all get corroded where water collects. mine was in bad shape too. just takes a little work to freshen up.
