Can anyone recommend a good small business accounting software package? I want to keep the books on my small business (coffee shop) so I know what's happening real-time. It should also write checks for the payroll. Anything else it should do? The local Mega office supply had three basic choices. I'd have thought there would be more.

Thanks for any advice.

Accounting Software

You may want to check out Quickbooks as it prints checks, handles inventory, and able to do payrole. You also want to be able to import files from your CC and bank statements.
You can also do a search for Small Business Software that should give you a good starting point.
Contact your local Small Biz Development Center and see if they can advise.

Good luck to you.

Take a look at Peachtree Accounting. I like it better than Quickbooks. It does all that Quickbooks does, but it has a better inventory module. And, it's been on sale lately at Staples for $139.
