Stay away from
discounts, coupons, flyers, or anthing similar.
These all say, "I appeal to cheap customers." which is exactly what you are doing if you use those kinds of methods.

The importance of quality is part of the often ignored "internal marketing" which as a very important marketing tool. Everything from your cup choice to your machine choice to your colors to the drinks you serve to the design of your menu boards, etc. all reflect your 'brand' which is inextricably entwined with the concept of marketing.

Depends on what kind of coffe shop and where it is acutally located.

What kind of promotions? Ongoing, opening or special?

I am opening a coffee cart in a community college. That will be special promotions aimed at that location.
