Any clues on an Ozturk Roaster?

Cast iron is supposed to be superior for roaster drums or faceplates as opposed to cold rolled steel. But it is more fragile and the owners manual on my 800n w/cast iron drum advises "do not heat over 230c on the pid; cool down below 80c on shutdown"

So there are advantages and disadvantages to consider.

I am shopping for a Roaster and have come across unbelievable prices on the Ozturk. It is very enticing to consider a lower entry price when also looking at the costs of building a roasting room and laboratory. I see these are used at Adirondack in NY, any one else using this roaster on the east coast or in our 50th state?

I have a 15kg Ozturk roaster. It does a great job. I recently added Typica data logging. Dwane from Adirondack Coffee Roasters uses one as well and he also sells and services them. He provides excellent customer service.

I've met Dwane a few times, and would be confident buying an Ozturk from him.

Hello,
I have an Ozturk on the water to Manassas VA. I would love to help you in the future.
