My name is Sean, I work for High Plains Biochar, we are a biochar technology developer that designs and manufacturers high quality biochar equipment based in Laramie, WY.
We are designing the worlds first carbon negative coffee roasting machine that will roast coffee using heat from a specialized version of our patented RocketChar technology running on spent coffee grounds and chaff. This will simultaneously eliminate the need for electric or natural gas heat while also sequestering carbon in the form of biochar made from the spent grounds and chaff that are typically treated like a waste product.
We are working on the pilot project and we are looking to partner with a roaster in Colorado to implement the pilot unit.
