Where should I go to find good contractors? I'm opening a new shop in a brand new space.

As I have posted many times in the past, depending on the extent of the build out it has alway been my opinion that you should be your own general contractor.

you should hire your own:
carpenter
Plumber
electrician
Believe it or not basic design for a coffee house is not that difficult, but if you have the budget and really are uncomfortable managing the project and want someone to do it for you then go for it.

Advice: If you never delt with contractors, hire a General contractors

Who ever you hire has to have previous COMMERCIAL experience
residential builder does not have a clue about commercial.

If you need help, I will be more than happy to help, specially on the design part, I went through hell, and now I can tell you a lot of short cuts.
