I find it is best to use the Quick Books; its pretty easy:

but it is best to use excel for a Summary of Your Cash Sales

i.e. cash plus taxes = GT:

then get your employees to balance every day to the totals i.e.
cash, visas, m/c

then count the cash float at the beginning of the day and end of day
float should stay the same.

now I am looking for a formula for the cash sales summary:

Sales plus taxes, less discounts, plus gratuities

Does anyone have one on excel? I am currently doing a job and I can't find my old one.......gr......rrrrrrrrr.
