I was wondering if anyone has had issues with their local department on health? I know each area has different standards, but I was wondering if there is anything I should look out for?

As soon as you have your plans ready submit them to your local health dept. That way if there are any issues they will come up early so they can be fixed before buildout....not after!

Thanks... these would be the plans I'll have the architect do, right? I wouldn't know where to begin doing them myself.

Yes your architect's plans. You would be amazed at the things the DOH will pick at....the 3 hole sink and sideboards etc.

Thank you! I have been doing extensive reading on what is required and downloaded some checklists, so hopefully there won't be any major surprises. I know, famous last words, huh?
