Float Valve Jura Z 10

Hi, I want to add a float valve to my Jura Z10 as this machine out of the 3 other Jura machines I've had over the yrs seems to use a heck of a lot of water than the other 3. I've bought a good quality mini float valve & am ready to plumb it in.
I'm wondering if this may be a bad idea, but I can't see why, so I'd like to hear what other people's ideas may be before I attack my Jura.

how will adding a float valve make the z10 use less water? Maybe a better question is how do you know it's using a lot of water? is the internal coffee ground pan or the drip tray filling up a lot? Is it leaking out the bottom? Have you looked inside to see if a hose is leaking?
