For a clean looking Glass/Metal French Press - You can score a Bodum Chambord 4-Cup Coffee Press for around $30. Bodum is good, as the glass/metal combo is strong, long lasting, easier to clean than the plastic ones. Also, being a Bodum brand, if/when you break the glass, it's easy to buy replacements.

For something a little cooler though, my pick is a - AeroPress Coffee and Espresso Maker. These make a truly impressive tasting coffee, and you can pick one up on Amazon for around $26.00.

I have a Bodum Stainless Steel thermal pot:

I've had it for five or six years, makes great coffee and has held up much better than the glass pots I've had in the past.

I bought a Bodum-Starbucks hybrid--innards and beaker by Bodum, handle made by Starbucks. It was cheaper, for me anyway, than buying a Bodum in the department stores here.

I like the Frieling stainless steel press for its good looks but bought myself a Bonjour glass french press and I'm very satisfied with it
