Gelato and Coffee??

We are an expanding business to a new location and we are considering adding gelato. We want to remain coffee focused, but in order to supplement income in the area we are in we may need to do other non-coffee things (we are considering lunch as well). Has anyone else had experience with doing this...does it take away from the coffee-shop atmoshpere by serving Gelato? Thanks for any help.

I can't help you out, but I thought it was funny because I am opening a gelato shop that sells coffee, and was wondering if I was focusing on the right product. So I guess I'm wondering the exact opposite thing. Would coffee overshadow my gelato business?

If I get it up and running any time soon, I'll let you know how it goes.
