Hi all, I wanted to introduce myself as quasi new to the community. I have posted one or two things a long time ago, but wanted to be a bit more active in the coffee forum community. A little about me, I am a graduate student in DC studying German History and on the side I am a huge coffee geek. While I am partial to my cheap espresso machine, I use my moka pot the most.
I also use a popcorn popper to roast coffee from time to time. That has been quite fun and thankfully not disastrous.
Finally, I have a blog about DC coffee at www.metroespresso.blogspot.com. I encourage people to take a look at it, posts range from coffee reviews, prose, pictures of some coffee roasts, and some rather oddball writings such as the relationship between coffee and existentialism.
Thanks all, I look forward to getting some future tips on making my own espresso better, ideas to explore in the coffee world, and generally meeting everyone!
