We're planning a trip (25th Anniversary) to Hawai'i and I'm looking for recommendations for a plantation tour. Has anyone been there, done that and had a great experience?

This will be our first trip to Oahu and the big island of Hawai'i so if you have any other must see/do tips, preferably off the beaten path, we're open for suggestions.

Thanks

I've never been there, but if I get a chance to visit, I would certainly tour Kona Joes. His plantation just sounds interesting.

I live on the Big Island and Kona Joe is a client; very beautiful plantation, it's an excellent spot to visit.

Drive south about 30 minutes from the airport; you'll see a Kona Joe sign on the right hand side just as you enter Kainaliu (I think there's some kind of sign). If you see the Aloha Theater (also on the right, and good for breakfast or lunch!), you've gone too far.

Write me if you'd like other suggestions.

Enjoy the trip!

Andrew
