I am all for levers. I own an Elektra MCaL and a refurbished Conti Prestina. There are many reason why I prefer them over my Isomac Semi-Auto machines. I have never pulled a bitter shot on a spring loaded lever. The same control over the pre-infusion phase cannot be achieved on a semi-auto. The traditional looks of lever are unparalleled by any semi-auto. Also, the clarity of the espresso from the 2 levers I have had personal encounters with are in a different realm when compared to semi-autos. I think all of these factors just intensify an individuals' overall espresso experience!
