I’ve been roasting in a gas grill. Cast iron. I have a rotisserie basket hooked up to a motor that turns about 1 second every minute.
I’ve tired different methods but the coffee keeps coming out tasting bad. It’s flat with a sour aftertaste.
I’ve tried playing around with the heat. The only way I can achieve a 15-20 minute roast time is the keep the heat around 550 for the entire roast. I want a dark roast so I drop about 30 seconds into the second crack.
I’m about ready to give up. There’s got to be something I’m not considering. Please help!
