This farm is certified organic, bird friendly, and rainforest alliance. It's some of the best coffee in Nicaragua and scores around 88-89 in cuppings. You can search for Selva Negra Coffee and find all kinds of praising testimonials. A search on green bean sites shows it selling for $5.70-$7.00 a pound.
I bought 7 bags of it on the commodities dip last week, and locked in a price of $3.50. Freight to get here added another 25 cents a pound. At that point, I'm willing to sell the first bag at cost, because I really only needed 6 bags.
I can ship 9 pounds for $8. 9 * 3.75 + $8 = $42 ($4.54/lb) 18 pounds for $12 shipping. ($4.44/lb) Pretty darn good deal for what an amazing coffee it is. Grown at 4,000 ft altitude. I use this for light roasts, french roasts, flavored coffee, and sell more of it than any other coffee I roast.
