SCAA Membership Question

I'm trying to decide if there are any real time benefits to joining this organization.......is anyone here a member?

I live in a very small town so I won't be attending any of their competitions or classes. Is there a benefit to being listed in their directory; I need the general public to know more about me not necessarily other coffee houses. Is there promotional information that comes with your initial membership? Is it just a matter of being able to say you belong?

I wish I had an answer for you - it is a good question. I winder the same thing, as I will be the only coffee shop in my town once I finally get open. I hope someone responds with an answer. HAve a great weekend.
