Schaerer Coffee Factory squirts coffee into drip tray rather than dispensing through

Hi. I'm the one who mainly cleans our work coffee machine. In the last 2 days it has taken to dispensing coffee by squirting it into the drip tray rather than dispensing through the mixer. I found instructions for cleaning the brewing unit - which just involves cleaning the brewing sieve, and it doesn't seem to be dirty.

Is there anything else that I should look at? I'm not very savvy about mechanical things.

I checked - the coffee gets into the drip tray via a soft rubber valve at bottom right, which mates with a valve on the drip tray.
